Cafe at Prairie Lights
The Times Club At Prairie Lights is pleased to present the work of Decorah-based artist Ben Moore. Moore received his MFA from the University of Iowa in 2006. He has also studied printmaking and drawing at the Scuola Internatinalle di Grafica in Venice, Italy. Currently he is a an Assistnat Professor of Art at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
The Times Club At Prairie Lights is proud to present the work of Knoxville-based artist Jered Sprecher. Sprecher received his MFA from the University of Iowa. He has had solo exhibitions at Jeff Bailey Gallery in New York, Wendy Cooper Gallery in Chicago, Steven Zevita Gallery in Boston, Kinkead Contemporary in Los Angeles, and the Gallery 16 in San Francisco. His work has been included in exhibitions at venues such as The Drawing Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts, Indiana University, Irish Museum of Modern Art, and the Knoxville Museum of Art. Sprecher has participated in the Artist Residency Sapce Program in New York in 2009, he was the recipient of a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship. He has taught at Princeton University and Cornell University. Currently he is an Associate Professor at The University of Tennessee.
November 15 - December 9 - Drawings by Iowa City artists Royce Chestnut and Joseph Patrick. Joe is an emeritus professor at the U of I. He taught in The Art Department where Royce was his student. Royce recently moved back to town and he and Joe have been drawing each other. All of the portraits of Joe are by Royce and all of the portraits of Royce are by Joe.
An exhibition of works on paper by Julia Fish

The Times Club at Prairie Lights is proud to present works on paper by Chicago-based artist Julia Fish. Fish received her BFA from Pacific Northwest College of Art in 1976, and her MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1982. Her work has been presented in twenty-one solo exhibitions since 1980, and was the subject of a ten-year survey exhibition, View, at the Renaissance Society at the University of Chicago in 1996. Recent paintings were included in the 2010 Whitney Biennial. In addition, paintings and drawings have been curated in exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Chicago Cultural Center; the MAK Center for Art and Architecture / Schindler House, Los Angeles; and the Martin-Gropius Bau, Berlinische Galerie, Berlin, among many others.
