Poet Aaron Belz will read from his new collection of poetry, Lovely, Raspberry. Belz is also the author of The Bird Hoverer and Plausible Worlds. His poetry and criticism have appeared in The Boston Review, Wired, Exquisite Corpse, Tinfish, RealPoetik, and the Washington Post among other places. He founded and curated The Observable Poetry Reading Series in St. Louis. He has also appeared in comedy venues including the Tomorrow Show at the Steve Allen Theater, Comedy Meltdown, the New Orleans Comedy Arts Festival and Comedy on Parade. John Ashbery says that "Lovely Raspberry reminds us that poetry should be bright, friendly, surprising, and totally committed to everything but itself. Reading it should be like dreaming of a summer vacation and then taking it."
