Work by Stephen Reynolds

June 3-August 5, 2018
Please join us for a reception, Friday, June 22 4-6pm in the cafe.

Stephen Reynolds was born in Washington DC in 1954. Originally trained as a painter in New York City at the Art Students League and Hunter College, he lived and worked in the city from 1974-1984. On moving to Los Angeles he took up work as a model maker for film and television, where he was exposed to an array of materials and methods which ultimately led him to begin making sculptural work. His sculptural explorations continued in the Hudson Valley in New York state, venturing into the possibilities of forged and welded steel and later, printmaking. Reynolds and his partner, artist Pamela Wallace, now base their home and studio in Germantown, NY on densely wooded land next to a wetland. He finds the area with its rich artistic community to be a constant source of inspiration.
